Litigation support is providing assistance to attorneys for existing or pending court cases. The venue, related rules and approach vary considerably depending on whether the concern is possibly related to bankruptcy, condemnation, a deficiency judgement, foreclosure, breach of contract or some other type of civil dispute.

Some of our clients retain us as a consulting witness, who may or may not be called upon to testify. As consultants, we can assist with strategy, third party recommendations, cross examination interrogatory and rebuttal testimony.

In some instances, it is advantageous to have one firm provide direct testimony and another to provide rebuttal testimony. Rebuttal testimony usually includes a written review of the opposing expert’s report.

Attorneys typically juggle multiple cases at the same time, each of which has a different deadline. They need to spend their time building a team for support, strategizing, evaluating “what-ifs” and managing client expectations—not digging through details.
